FRank’S STORY
Frank initially attended one of our Digital Buddies outreach sessions at Branch Library in Chester. At first he was nervous and unsure about technology and, like many over 50’s, felt like he was being left behind.
After a few weeks his confidence grew, and he was attending both the Branch Library and Storyhouse Digital Buddies sessions. As time went on it was obvious that Frank’s confidence and attitude towards technology had dramatically improved. Eventually, with the help of volunteers and staff, he was able to put together a PowerPoint presentation on Beekeeping and actually deliver his own session at an event curated by the Storyhouse Theatre.
Frank has since gone on to present his own sessions at Digital Buddies to people whose position he was in only a couple of years ago, and it’s safe to say he’s now become an integral part of the group. Frank’s was present at the Storyhouse Theatre opening ceremony and was lucky enough to meet the Queen and converse say how much he enjoyed the group - so expect a visit from Her Majesty at a Digital Buddies session very soon!
